Has the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces begun?

Budanov noted that currently, the Ukrainian military has managed to disorient the enemy. It is already happening, and until it is all over, I believe they will not understand what has been happening,” stated the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

He also acknowledged that there is partial disorientation among Ukrainians in the process, but it is important to understand that in this situation, it is more crucial to confuse the enemy rather than risking some misunderstanding within Ukraine.

Is there a threat of Russia using nuclear weapons against Ukraine?

“We have neither approached nor distanced ourselves from a nuclear war. The threat that exists is purely hypothetical. It is artificially induced. In theory, anything is possible, but the probability of that happening is almost negligible. And it will end with Russia’s strategic defeat. Even ordinary Russians understand and acknowledge this,” emphasizes Budanov.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized that the defeat would result in the destruction of the entire geopolitical and imperialistic goal of the Russian dictatorial regime. Budanov noted that currently, the criminal army of the Russian Federation has completely exhausted its own potential for further offensive actions.

However, he acknowledges that the Russians retain a significant potential for defense in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

“They have built a powerful, layered, and well-structured defense. But this is no longer the same Russian army that could carry out significant offensive actions. In terms of local combat actions, for example, in the area of Bachmut, they manage to advance by 50-70 meters per day, or sometimes they don’t even achieve that. This, excuse me, falls a bit short of the standards they themselves claim as the second army in the world,” emphasized Budanov.
