Czech Republic accused Russia of hypocrisy after the missile shelling of Ukraine

The head of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jan Lipavský, accused Russia of hypocrisy after the missile strike on Ukraine and assured that his country will not tire of the war and will not cease its support for Ukraine.

The Czech Republic responded to Russia’s missile strike on Ukraine

“Hypocritical Russia. It accuses others of genocide while itself again bombards civilian targets in Ukraine and kills innocent people. It wants us to tire of the war and abandon the Ukrainians. But that will not happen. Not this year, not ever.”

Reaction to the Russian missile strike on January 2nd

Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba called on the West to respond decisively to the attack and expedite the provision of additional air defense systems, ammunition, long-range missiles, and drones to Ukraine. He also urged the approval of the use of frozen Russian assets and the isolation of Russian diplomats.

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink noted that it is ‘extremely important to support Ukraine now to stop Putin.’

President of Moldova Maia Sandu emphasized that ‘unwavering international support is crucial for Ukrainians to defend their sovereignty and people.’

EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Maternova stated that ‘Ukraine now needs more support to save lives. Russia will be held accountable.’

It is worth noting that as a result of the massive missile attack in Ukraine, 5 people were killed, and at least 90 were wounded. The cities of Kyiv and Kharkiv were among the targeted areas.
