Biden has requested an additional $106 billion from Congress, with the majority designated for Ukraine

The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden has submitted a request to Congress to allocate $106 billion in emergency funding to aid Ukraine, Israel, and strengthen U.S. border security. This information is reported on the White House website.

For Ukraine, $61 billion in assistance is proposed.

The funds for Ukraine will be allocated for:

additional weapons and military equipment;

military, intelligence, and other defense support, including significant investments in the defense-industrial base, expenses for transporting American personnel and equipment;
direct budgetary support;
support for Ukrainians displaced due to Russian aggression;
nuclear and radiological crisis management.

Israel is proposed to receive $14.3 billion, including funds for air and missile defense, as well as embassy security reinforcement in the region.

An additional $10 billion will be used for humanitarian assistance in Israel, Ukraine, Gaza, and other locations.

On October 20, 2023, Biden urged Congress not to halt arms supplies to Ukraine.
