President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an evening video address, thanked British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for signing a bilateral security agreement and stated that Ukraine’s key security goal is NATO membership.
“Our key security goal is the Alliance. Now, based on this agreement with Britain, we are working with other partners for bilateral agreements,” he said.
The head of state reminded that nearly 30 countries have already joined the “Big Seven” basic understanding and thanked each of the leaders of the countries already working on “security work” and the leaders of countries planning to join.
“And, of course, I thank Great Britain and personally Prime Minister Sunak for their initiative and leadership,” Zelensky concluded.
